Čez praznike sem imel res lepo šolo. Vse svoje vitalne podatke,¹ ki sem jih slučajno imel na nosilcu, ki ni bil bekapiran sem v trenutku igračkanja s particijami na videz izgubil. Groza … sistem, dokumenti, fotografije … vse je izginilo in samo bogu se lahko zahvalim, da lahko danes rečem, da je vse spet na svojem mestu.

Reševanje podatkov je potekalo nekako takole.

1. Takoj ko sem ugotovil nastalo situacijo, sem sistem postavil na drugi fizični pogon tako, da po particiji kjer sem prej imel zgubljene podatke več nisem pisal in jih tako obvaroval pred prepisovanjem, kar bi jih dokončno izničlo.
2. Na spletu sem našel orodje, ki mi je omogočlo, da sem po desetih urah njega dela lahko spet videl zgubljene direktorije. Direktorije in datoteke sem nato povrnil na novo mesto. Hvala bogu nisem izgubil strukture direktorijev kar je še posebej navdihujoče.
3. Sistem  sem ponovno naložil na staro lokacijo.
4. NAREDIL BACKUP!

Če si slučajno v istem trenutku me pocukaj. Z veseljem bom pomagal …

Prejšnji teden sem bil pa res že skrajno nezadovoljen z izgledom svojega računalniškega sistema. Iz nekoč urejenega je nastal kaos. Grozd kablov je postal že grozljivo velik in ob pogledu na ta prizor je v meni sprožil neizmerno voljo do ponovne ureditve stanja. Po kakih dveh urah predanega dela, ko sem že skoraj dosegel skrajno mejo svojega zagona mi je uspelo. Rešil sem se kakih ducat kablov, ki jih sploh nisem potreboval, ponovno usposobil leta in leta neposlušno Logitech-ovo miško (za kar je bilo krivo dejstvo, da nisem uporabljal originalnega napajalnika) in vgradil WD My Book-ov 320 GB disk, ki sem ga pred dnevi iztrgal iz WD-jevega ohišja. Stanje je ponovno zadovoljivo. Hvala meni …

Ker sem z zunanjim diskom WD - My Book 320 Premium Edition imel zelo slabe izkušnje¹) sem sklenil, da si disk prestavim v ohišje mojega računalnika.

1. Z nekaj sile in s pomočjo izvijača sem brez večjih težav odstranil gumo, ki ovija samo ohišje.
2. Z nekaj sile sem oba dela uspel spraviti narazen.
3. Odvijte vijake, ki se vam zdijo primerni.
4. Ponovno z nekaj sile in potegi levo in desno boste disk dobili iz ohišja.
5. Odklopite napajanje in sata II.
6. Preostane vam še samo, da ga vstavite v računalnik.

Konec težav. Hvala Western Digital-u za resnično fancy sranje, ki mi je dokončno razblinilo sanje o zunanjih diskovnih enotah.

1. Disk oz. njen zunanji mehanizem je kriv, da sem izgubil 150 GB prvovrstno sortirane glasbene arhive, porabil nekaj ur za ugotavljanje zakaj za hudiča mi disk občasno ni dostopen in še bi lahko pisal … [↩]

Around-the-Clock Download Even When the Computer is Off or Disconnected

I bought Asus WL-500g today and haven’t been especially focused in all the futures that this router is offering. After I have set it up I noticed really cool future that it offers and that is automatic download even when my pc is shut down. All this is possible if you connect one external USB HD to it and make some tweaks in setup console.

I was really touched with idea and I REALLY LOVE IT!!

Unfortunately after I have uploaded some torrents into Download Master to start downloading them, connection to router was lost (throw Download Master) and now I cant do nothing. Download Master just sits there in offline state.
I‘m using Windows Vista Business and besides that everything works great.
I hope developers will upgrade this to work as it should as this is really greatest idea ever.

After some time digging: I have figured out by now that as soon as I have changed directory structure in SHARE folder of my to WL-500g connected external USB hard disk Download Master stoped connecting and working. I then first disabled and re-enabled Download Master in WL-500g control panel (IP of router in web browser) and after save and restart Download Master works just fine. I am testing it now actually. Well see.

THIS SYSTEM COULD ACTUALLY SAVE HUGE AMOUNT OF ENERGY WORLD WIDE!!

SOME THINGS THAT WOULD DOWNLOAD MASTER NEED TO BE THE GREATEST TORRENT DOWNLOAD APP.

1. Bandwight allocation system of files
2. Uploud download limiter
3. Queue seatings

I understand all this maybe even be impossible at that stage of WL-500g development. Anyways it would be great to have it and there fore I cheering the developers to really give 100% in it. The idea is worth gold. I hope you wont disappoint.

KUPI NA MIMOVRSTE

Grozljivo. Ko pomisliš kje končajo vse te elektronske pogruntavščine, ki jih tako pridno kopičimo doma in kako bo to vplivalo na naravo in planet me res postane strah. Strah me je ker sem tudi sam ne vedoč postal del tega uničevalskega stroja. Grozno. Kdo bi vedel kaj bo z nami. Treba bo pri sebi začet in brzdat svoje megaherčne potrebe.

Ater horrible experience with Vista I’m back to XP. More about this on my previous post.

After using vista for six months now I just cant stand it anymore. For example, My graphic and sound cards are still running on a beta drivers, my ATI Remote Wonder II wont run on vista, I cant connect my 400 EUR Nokia N95 to my computer because it just stops working and these are just some of the problems I’m experiencing. What should I do now. Should I throw away my 150 EUR Vista copy?! and as it seams to me I will do just that in the next couple of days and go back to Windows XP.

Danes sem na spletu našel odličen program, ki ga je začuda skupaj spravil Microsoft in je namenjen objavljanju člankov na blogu oz. postanju. Že nekaj časa sem sanjal o nečem podobnem in glej ga zlomka Microsoft se je pri slednjem resnično potrudil. Zadeva podpira celo plugine, kar nam omogoča, da se v program implementirajo zadeve kot so youtube in flickr. Zakon!

I am experiencing strange thing with my “My documents” folder. Today I noticed an odd folder in it named: BvÝwlvÝwuvÝwevÝwtvÝwovÝwovÝwtvÝwhvÝw so I delete it immediately. Whats even odder its the fact that it came back as soon as i changed the folder and come back again. I run nod32 virus scan and spyware terminator which both didn’t find anything. I am using xp home sp2 … latest updates installed.

Any idea?
